| Route Information | | Sail to the Great Land, roundtrip from the Emerald City. A Seattle Roundtrip route departs weekly through the wondrous Inside Passage, beginning and ending in Seattle, Washington. Enjoy opportunities to explore a selection of ports of call including Victoria, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Sitka, Tracy Arm, Misty Fjords, Glacier Bay or Sawyer Glacier. | | Cruise Portion | | Seattle, Washington, USA | | Situated on Puget Sound, Seattle's lush vegetation has earned it the nickname the "Emerald City." The futuristic Space Needle offers a 360-degree view of the city's skyline, Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. At Pike Place Market you can shop for handcrafted clothes and jewelry, and enjoy the amazing variety of flowers, famous fish markets and more. | | ...read more about Seattle, Washington, USA | | Juneau, Alaska | | Accessible only by air or sea, Alaska's capital is surprisingly urban and cultured for such a remote destination. When you arrive by sea, you will be greeted dockside by numerous flags and an abundance of summer flowers. For further insight into the Inuit culture and crafts, visit the museum. Take the short drive to Mendenhall Glacier, the only glacier inside city limits! Take a helicopter ride for an amazing aerial view of Juneau and area, or go fishing for silver salmon. Then, just kick back and relax with a cool one at the famous and colorful Red Dog Saloon. | | ...read more about Juneau, Alaska | | Skagway, Alaska | | Skagway was born during the great Klondike gold rush. Those were the days when Skagway had 80 saloons and was known as "the roughest town on earth". The city's rip-roaring past will come alive when you walk down Broadway, a main street so authentic it is part of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park! | | ...read more about Skagway, Alaska | | Sawyer Glacier, Alaska | | Witness the drama of this tidal glacier calving in an impressive display of cascading ice and roaring thunder. Framed by 7,000-foot high snowcapped mountains, ice chunks as big as a city block and as tall as a three-story building have been known to break off and fall into the sea. This glacier, perched at the head of Tracy Arm, calves on the average of once every hour. | | ...read more about Sawyer Glacier, Alaska | | Ketchikan, Alaska | | Ketchikan is the salmon capital of the world. The canneries are busy and the stream below Creek Street's rustic boardwalk bustles with life. Visit the ancient grove of Totem Bight, the largest collection of authentic totem poles anywhere. Make a flight to nearby Misty Fjords--a breathtaking vista of Alaska's unspoiled wilderness and America's newest national monument; or try a little salmon fishing. | | ...read more about Ketchikan, Alaska | | Victoria, British Columbia | | Prim and proper with a mix of stately buildings and English traditions, Victoria is like a breath of fresh air. Its British heritage is apparent in double-decker buses, the Royal British Columbia Museum and High Tea at the Empress Hotel. Pay a visit to the renowned Butchart Gardens, where sunken floral beds reflect international themes. | | ...read more about Victoria, British Columbia |

Princess Cruises Details
Having led the way in Gulf of Alaska cruising, Princess maintains a strong presence in Alaska. Through its Seattle-based Princess Tours division, the company operates a wide variety of spectacular land and sea experiences in the majestic "Land of the Midnight Sun." The largest cruise and tour operator in the state, Princess operates six cruise ships, five riverside wilderness lodges, luxury Midnight Sun Express Ultra Dome rail cars, and a fleet of deluxe motor coaches; allowing cruise passengers to connect seamlessly to a landside tour and experience several distinctly unique facets of the Alaska wilderness in a single trip.
With Princess, you won't just see Alaska, you'll feel it with unique, one-of-a-kind experiences. In Juneau, you will be introduced to Libby Riddles, the first woman to win the grueling 1,049-mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race. Balladeer Steve Hites will come aboard in Skagway to share his one-man Gold Rush show. Such included enrichments continue with daily onboard lectures on local geology, wildlife, and native culture. Ranger naturalists cruise with Princess through Glacier Bay, and a junior park ranger program is offered for kids.

Princess Cruises Cruiseline Review
Princess offers one of the newest fleets sailing in Alaska. Each ship offers a variety of dining options, superior entertainment, quality service and Anytime Dining. Princess has removed the regimentation of the traditional cruise and instead allows you to "Do What You Want, When You Want" on their impressive fleet of 7 mega-ships, many of which have been recently refurbished and renovated for Alaska 2010. These are 'space' ships, with the amenities and features of a grand mega-ship, but with a small ship feel thanks to intimate public areas and multiple bars, dining venues, and show lounges. In addition, Princess offers more affordable balcony staterooms and more cruisetour packages than any other cruise line.
